NATorigin Skincare review

I have mentioned NATorigin a few times before and I highly rate their makeup including their mascara (review) and their lipsticks and eyeliners (review). Knowing that I was a big fan of the NATorigin mascara Michelle Sutton the founder of the brand offered to send me some other products to try, when I received the parcel I was delighted to see a wonderful mix of makeup and skin care including the Detoxifying moisturising cream* and the Facial cleansing milk*.

As someone with sensitive skin I have always been drawn to this brand and I really was genuinely excited to try these products. I like NATorigin's approach and philosophy, they are a brand that realise that just because a product is natural it doesn't mean that it will automatically be good for sensitive skin.

The brand market's their products as created for extreme tolerance, so the ingredients and formulations are specifically formulated to minimise the risk of a reaction. So far through testing I have found the formulations to be perfect for my reactive skin, the eyeliner and mascara work wonderfully well even in the summer through hay fever season.

Michelle Sutton is a practising pharmacist and James Sutton is a practising optometrist, their combined healthcare knowledge is at the core of the brand and how it performs. NATorigin was also a sponsor of the Free From Skincare awards and their mascara scooped a well deserved bronze award this year.

Each NATorigin product is formulated with natural and organic ingredients wherever possible and the percentages of natural ingredients used is listed on each individual product. Where synthetics are used they are chosen over their natural counterparts because the specific ingredients chosen are better tolerated by sensitive skin, I really like the "natural doesn't always mean good" stance that the company takes I think it's a very brave one in the natural beauty world and it gives me real faith in these formulations. The products are also certified organic by ECOCERT and are also free from animal ingredients making them vegan friendly.

The Detoxifying moisturising cream* (50ml) is a light but nourishing lotion that has a pleasant nutty fragrance. I have been using this a lot in the warmer weather and it does everything a moisturiser should do, it sits well under make up and it makes my skin feel soft and smooth. It is packaged in an airless plastic pump great for travelling and 100% recyclable. It is 99.5% natural.

Aqua (Water), Isopropyl Isostearate, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Glyceryl Stearate, Organic Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Propanediol, Propanediol Dicaprylate, Lauryl Laurate, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Arachidyl Glucoside, Glycerin, Organic Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Manganese PCA, Behenyl Alcohol, Asparagopsis Armata Extract, Xanthan Gum, Arachidyl Alcohol, Organic Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Seed Oil, Arginine PCA, Parfum (Natural fragrance), Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Hydroxide, Tocopheryl Acetate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil

The Facial cleansing milk* (200ml) can be used both with a cotton wool pad as a makeup remover or as a wash off cream cleanser. I use it both ways and it works really well for cleansing the skin. It has a nice consistency that spreads well across the face and is extremely gentle.

Aqua (Water), Isocetyl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Glycerin, Decyl Glucoside, Propanediol, Sodium Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Cetearyl Sulfate, Parfum (Natural fragrance), Tocopheryl Acetate, Lactic Acid, Disodium Phosphate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Asparagopsis Armata Extract, Organic Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Seed Oil

To me NATorigin are a brand who produce honest products that do exactly what they say on the tin, the packaging is functional and the products genuinely work well for me. If you have sensitive skin but would like to use natural cosmetics and skincare and other brands don't work for you NATorigin would be one of my top recommendations.
