Lily Lolo mineral blusher review

I have to say I am a big fan of mineral make up, yes it can be a little messy especially when you are getting used to it to start with but honestly I have now been using minerals for at least four years and in particular some of the shades from the brand Lily Lolo which are staples in my routine. I don't think you can go far wrong with the variety of shades or the value for money that you get with minerals either.

Bloom remedies: Nature Nourish organic body oil

With winter fast approaching it's time to up the hydration levels for both face and body, to keep dry skin at bay. Body oils are a fantastic to way to do just that, unlike body lotions, oils contain no water which means they are extremely hydrating and soothing and if you choose the right brand they should contain nothing but gorgeous plant oils.

The lovely Cornish brand bloom remedies has come to my rescue again with it's nourishing body oil* for dry skin which has recently been renamed the Nature Nourish organic body oil. This gorgeous 99% organic oil packs a serious hydrating punch which can banish even the driest of skins. One of the many reasons I love Bloom Remedies is that they produce gorgeous authentic organic products that are incredibly well priced. If you add to that the fact they everything is hand made in the UK in small batches, you have a brand that in my eyes can really do no wrong!

This product blends some lovely nourishing oils such as Sweet almond oil, Meadow farm oil and a big favourite of mine Avocado oil. The scent is very different from the other body oils in my collection it is herbal but has a refreshing edge it thanks to the Cedarwood, Neroli and Frankincense essential oils. My favourite thing about this oil however is how incredibly hydrating this is, without being heavy on the skin, this is absolutely fantastic after showering when the skin is slightly damp. I reach for this when I know I am going to have a busy couple of days because it keeps my skin soft and hydrated for a few days after application.

If you are looking for a body oil that really does a fantastic job then you can't go far wrong with Bloom remedies, the Nature Nourish Body oil costs £7.99 for 50 mls and is very concentrated so a little goes a very long way. You can find it here. Do you love body oils in the winter?

New product launch: Weleda haircare

New to the UK this week, Weleda haircare has had a make over! Following the lead of the skincare range which focuses on a different plant in each of it's ranges specifically chosen for it's properties, the haircare has cereals as it's key ingredients. So why cereals? Well cereals produce Silicic acid to grow strong and upright which is also excellent for restoring and protecting the health of the hair and scalp.

Natural and organic Eye liner comparison

I thought I would show you some of the eye liners in my current collection and that also it would be interesting to do a comparison of how they perform. I currently use three different brands: NATorigin, Essential Care and Inika.

Neom Luxury organics Room Spray

I am a big lover of home scents so candles, reed diffusers and room sprays are essentials in my house. I am incredibly fussy on the brands that I will use however and I am constantly looking for beautiful essential oil blends, I can react badly to synthetic scents so a little bit of extra care taken when selecting products really is essential.

Trilogy everything balm

I love a good multi-purpose product, they save on packaging and are so useful to have around. My latest addition to what some would call a multi-purpose balm obsession has been the cult product Trilogy everything balm.

Studio 78 primer and liquid lipstick review

I first discovered Studio 78 at Whole-foods in Cheltenham when I visited a few months ago, I remember thinking at the time the range was lovely so I was thrilled to get the chance to try two products from them the liquid lipstick* and the primer*. First thing to say about the products is that they do not look like natural cosmetics they are packaged really beautifully with very simple sleek packaging.

Is it a sponge? not.a.Sponge* review

I am not going to lie, this most recent addition to my bathroom has resulted in some raised eyebrows from hubby who has to put up with an already overflowing bathroom cabinet and a big box full of face cloths and other beauty gadgets.
