New product launch: Weleda haircare

New to the UK this week, Weleda haircare has had a make over! Following the lead of the skincare range which focuses on a different plant in each of it's ranges specifically chosen for it's properties, the haircare has cereals as it's key ingredients. So why cereals? Well cereals produce Silicic acid to grow strong and upright which is also excellent for restoring and protecting the health of the hair and scalp.

All hair types are covered with three different shampoos: Oat replenishing shampoo, Millet Nourishing shampoo and Wheat balancing shampoo as well as keeping the Replenishing hair tonic in the range and adding an Oat replenishing treatment and conditioner to the line.

I was lucky enough to receive some samples of the Oat replenishing shampoo* before it's UK release and I was incredibly impressed with this product, it feels incredibly silky and lathers incredibly well, considering the complete lack of sulphates and other harsh surfactants it's performance was impressive. It left my hair very soft and manageable even without using a conditioner as well.

All Weleda products are beautifully scented with Essential oils and all the formulas are certified to be 100% natural by NATRUE, with the percentages of organic ingredients that they use increasing every year. Something I learned when I attended the Weleda Join the Dot's day is that the lovely images they used for their campaign for the new haircare are of a model that has used the range on her hair with no re-touching, or extensions to alter the image in any way, Weleda strive to be a really honest company and I love that about them.

The shampoos start at just £8.95 making them budget friendly and no doubt the products will be added in to my hair care routine at some point. You can find the new haircare range here

  1. I've never used this brand before but I've seen it around before. I can't work out whether I like this packaging or not haha.

    1. Weleda is quite readily available, the packaging is not perhaps the most modern but I really appreciate that it is eco-friendly and recyclable :) xx
