Angela Langford skincare: Clean sweep cleanser

 Summer has most definitely disappeared and been replaced by Autumn, in our house that means roaring log fires and cosy nights in, but for my skincare regime it means balms, balms and more balms! I will be adding in balms for my body, balms for my face and of course balms for cleansing.  I have been testing out Angela Langford's award winning cleanser A clean sweep* the last few weeks and it is such a wonderful product from an ethical and natural brand and that is well worth sharing.

First up this cleansing balm gets bonus points for being in a squeezable tube, most of my other balms come in a tin or a jar and I have a love hate relationship with my cosmetic spoons as I seem to constantly loose them, so this genius packaging avoids all of that drama. Compared to some of the other cleansing balms I own (or have used before) this also feels a little lighter in texture and melts almost instantly with the heat of my hands. You can still give yourself a really good massage with this, the site recommends five minutes or more which is a real luxury indeed but most people would be able to find two minutes to relax and spend some time really massaging this product in. You will be left with glowing skin that is clean but never dry, oily or very acne skin types would find this too much, but for my sensitive skin it's perfect.

The scent is absolutely gorgeous a combination of Lemon, chamomile and Eucalyptus, it is fresh but with a herbal earthiness to it, for my taste it is as close to perfection as I have found with any cleansing balm before, and I have tried some really good ones!

Ingredients:
Prunus amygdalus* (Sweet Almond), Carthamus Tinctorius* (Thistle),Simmondsia Chinensis* (Jojoba), Butyrospermum Parkii* (Shea Butter),Ricinus Communis* (Castor), Theobrama Cacao* (Cocoa Butter), Prunus Armeniaca* (Apricot Kernel), Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E)Glycine Soya Oil,Helianthuus Annuus Seed Oil (sunflower seed oil), Cera Alba* (Beeswax), Citrus Limonum (Lemon), Chamaemelum Nobile* (Chamomile), Cupressus Sempiverens* (Cypress), Eucalyptus Globules* (Eucalyptus).
From Essential Oils: CitralD-LimoneneLinalool
* Organic Ingredients
98% of the ingredients it this product are organic

This contains a blend of oils that are nourishing such as sweet almond and Shea butter and some that are good for deep cleansing such as castor seed oil and thistle. I would definitely happily repurchase, the brand uses great ingredients many of which are organic and they have a great sample service, you see my post on that here. I found the muslin cloth that is included to be nice but I do really prefer to use with a flannel as I find they hold the heat better.

You only need a pea sized drop of this for your whole face and neck so it is great value for money at £21.40 for 100 mls (most cleansing balms are 50 ml). You can find the full range on the Website  and at Love Lula they have skin care and body care all free from SLS, Parabens, Propylene glycol etc...and not tested on animals.

  1. This sounds lovely, I love that it comes in a squeezy tube! My skin is definitely on the oily side though so it might not be for me :(
