Green People gentle cleanse and make up review

Whatever else I am using a cream cleanser is always a staple in my routine, they are great for using in the shower and they are perfect if you are low maintenance and don't want to use more than one cleanser. The latest cream cleanser to grace my bathroom has been the Green people gentle cleanse and make up remover and it has become one of my favourites.
Green people are a brand that I love, Charlotte Vohtz the founder is a pioneer of the organic movement and the brand has become really well established within not just the green beauty world but their skincare is filtering out to people who would usually buy mainstream products which is great to see.

Green people's Gentle cleanse and make up remover* is a rich cream cleanser that is made from Aloe Vera, Shea butter, squalane (made from olives) and lightly scented with rose geranium. The texture is thick allowing for a really thorough cleanse and make up removal but it rinses away easily easily with or without a face cloth. The ingredients are really gentle and perfect for sensitive skins. I double cleanse with this and it also follows a balm cleanser nicely if you like using a cream afterwards, it is also perfect with a Konjac sponge for some extra exfoliation. You can take this around the eyes and it will remove all make up with no stinging or soreness.

Green people's products are certified by a variety of different agencies including the vegetarian and vegan society and they use a high percentage of organic ingredients certified by the Soil Association and Ecocert. This product is suitable for vegans, 91% organic and uses Fair trade ingredients.

I have recently had some samples of other green people products mainly through my beauty boxes and I have loved using them, the green people body lotion and shower gel are both really lovely products and the Anti-ageing moisturiser which is very gentle and nourishing. When I think of green people I think of really good all round products, I am also a fan of their scent free range with no essential oils which is perfect for sensitive skin and their make up which includes fantastic talc free pressed powders, blushers and eye shadows.

If I was to compare this to my two other favourite cream cleansers the Pai cleanser and the REN hydra-calm cleanser I would say this is definitely on a par with their performance but is at a cheaper price point than Pai and has cleaner ingredients than REN something that will definitely encourage me to buy it again. I tested the 50 ml size which costs £10.95, it is perfect for travelling or for popping in your gym bag but the larger size costs £18.95 for 200 mls which is better value for money.

You can find all of Green People's products on their website

  7. This looks great, especially for those of us like me who have sensitive skin. I love gentle cleansers, and I love that this is a cleanser and makeup remover in one! Some cleansing products don't do a very good job at removing makeup so this one seems great!
