Living Nature make up remover

Make up removers and I don't always have the best of relationship, the Micellar water trend passed me by after I tried a couple and just couldn't get on with them, I tend to find oils extremely effective for make up removal but there are times when you want something quick and easy that will remove your make up without any residue, for example when I am just popping to the gym and want to get rid of my mineral foundation in a hurry.

Enter the Living Nature gentle make up remover which uses the ingredient Kumerahou to provide a botanical alternative to conventional cleansers with SLS and SLES. Kumerahou is a flower that is native to New Zealand and which has gentle cleansing properties, in fact you can create a lather if you rub the petals together, Living Nature use this ingredient throughout the range in those products that foam or are for cleansing.

Despite the addition of the Kumerhou, this is a clear water based make up remover which does not foam, you pop some on a cotton pad and wipe away make up. Other ingredients in this remover are Manuka Honey known for it's anti-inflammatory and healing properties and Flax gel which is hydrating. I started to use this with a degree of scepticism and I really didn't have high hopes that this would work when most other removers seem to irritate my skin but I have been so incredibly impressed! I find this does a thorough job of taking most make up off, I always follow up with another cleanser as I double cleanse but when I use it in the daytime (e.g. before the gym) I find it to be incredibly effective on it's own. I find minimal make up to be left on the flannel when I do my second cleanse and I think that has more to do with me missing a spot rather than the remover leaving product behind.

I have experienced no stinging, redness or burning like I do with Micellar waters and my skin has been happy and content using this product. I still think oil removers are the gentlest option but this is very useful to have around for those times when they are just not practical to use. I really like Living Nature's ethos and ingredients they are BDIH certified natural and cruelty free and have Manuka honey as a main ingredient through out the range.
