Budget beauty: Faith in Nature chocolate haircare

Faith in Nature is a brand that I have used before a few times, I like that the brand is quite readily available and I can get hold of the products on my local high street in the well stocked health food shop we have. I have had a few hits and a miss with their products I love the bath and shower foams but wasn't such a fan of the face cream, having said that it has in no way put me off trying more from the brand and when I was offered a chance to review their haircare I was more than happy to do so. I knew the brand is well established but I was surprised to find out it has been around for forty years, they have a strong ingredients policy and carry the leaping bunny symbol as well as having a large range of vegan products. The brand don't use any synthetic fragrances or colours, SLS, SLES and parabens so they tick a lot of boxes already.

Now on to the performance of the products, both of these exceeded my expectations given the price point and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them as affordable options so straight of the bat you can see I haven't got much negative to say. The Chocolate shampoo* (£5.50 for 400 mls) had a nice lather and yes it does smell of chocolate! Always a plus point in my book. If you have tried lower foaming shampoos and found they weren't for you then Faith in Nature are well worth a try I didn't experience any difficulty getting my hair really clean and it cleansed the scalp as well as the hair itself. The ingredients list is very short and sweet, looking at the ingredients on EWG nothing scored above a 3, I think it would be either a perfect transitional product or if like me you are after a more budget friendly option and you aren't too much of a purist. The shampoo get's it's gorgeous chocolatey scent from the inclusion of real cocoa and vanilla which is lovely. It also contains Kelp, tea tree and sage. The Chocolate conditioner* (£5.50 for 400 mls) is a light conditioner, it would suit people with normal hair types the best, if you have very dry hair you will need to add in oil treatments or a weekly more intensive treatment with this conditioner as despite the rapeseed seed oil it is quite light in formulation. I found this great to use after washing out an oil treatment as it didn't weigh down the hair at all so the fact that it wasn't as heavy as some of my other conditioners actually turned out to be a plus point.

These bottles contain a whopping 400 mls so these will last an awfully long time although when they do finally run out I wouldn't hesitate to repurchase, the chocolate scent and no nonsense performance for me is a winner. Faith in Nature have lot's of products in the range so I am sure they have something for everyone.

  5. This is really purse friendly which makes purchasing an easier decision. Although I love a bit of chocolate, I'm not keen on it in my skin/hair care. Will certainly pick up something from Faith In Nature though…x
