New to the UK: Indie Lee Body oils

One of the many things I love about A Beautiful World is that they love to interact with their customers to find out what products they want to see on the site, in fact you can send them a message to let them know what brands or products you would be interested in and they will look in to stocking them. People asked and A Beautiful world listened bringing on board some gorgeous new products from Indie Lee, I am a big big fan of Indie Lee's range, this American brand is exclusively found on A Beautiful World in the UK and every product I have tried I have been impressed with so far.

I have been trying out the Vanilla Citrus body oil* (£24 for 4oz) which is lovely light multi-purpose oil suitable for the hair, face and body. Unlike some of my other body oils this has a very light scent, more Vanilla but with a slight twist of citrus, it's incredibly easy to use on an everyday basis and I have managed to make a significant dent in this already because I have been reaching for it a lot. The oil comes in a nice glass pump bottle, I do find the pump on mine slightly temperamental but not enough to prevent me from using the oil properly, I think I was just unlucky with it! The combination of ingredients is simple, in fact the same can be said for a lot of Indie's products but don't be fooled by the simplicity, there is an art to taking simple, good quality ingredients and making them in to something this gorgeous to use and Indie certainly seems to have that art! Jojoba and apricot oils give this body oil silky finish on the skin that is easily absorbed leaving it velvety smooth. If you don't usually like body oils because you find them heavy then this is one I would recommend you try.

I also pop some of this on my hair and leave for 30 minutes before I wash it out, it hydrates dry ends and doesn't weigh the hair down. I love an oil that is versatile and I think this one ticks that box beautifully. If Vanilla Citrus doesn't appeal you can also choose from Lavender and Chamomile or Patchouli Sandlewood and you can currently get 10% off with the code INDIEOILS10.

  1. I recently purchased the chamomile and lavender one and really like it, smells lovely and the bottle is so nice to look at. The pump on mine is also not the best, it's aesthetically appealing but the oil seems to rush out in a larger quantity than I need and can be messy (last thing you want with an oil). I hadn't thought about using it on my hair so thanks for that idea.

    1. Hi Peony, shame your pump is also a bit temperamental, other than that I can't fault the product. The Chamomile and Lavender scent sounds beautiful, great combination of ingredients, if you try on your hair would love to hear how you get on! :) Xx

  6. My pump is annoying too...it's hard to press down the first time and comes squirting out! Glad you like it though, it is a lovely product! xx

    1. I had assumed mine was just faulty but it sounds like the pumps probably need changing, love the product though, it was you who sparked my interest in it :) Xx

  7. Vanilla Citrus definitely appeals to me! I like vanilla scents but I think they can often be oppressively heavy, I like the idea of a hint of citrus to lighten the scent. I think the packaging of this India Lee products is very aesthetically appealing and I'd definitely consider the brand for gifts. It's a shame about the pump though, when it comes to body oils the dispenser can make such a difference to product waste and with an investment skincare/bodycare item I like to feel as though I'm getting the most out for my money xx

    1. It is a shame about the pump although I know Indie will take the feedback on board, but the products inside is super gorgeous! Xx
