Haircare: The styling products

When it comes to haircare I am generally low maintenance but I do have slightly frizzy hair that benefits from a little of bit of help to look it's best. Here are my top picks for greener styling for your hair all, paraben, silicone and SLS free of course:

Yarok Feed your ends leave in conditioner (From £7.50 for 2 oz) This is a beautiful blend of botanicals that de-tangles and softens the hair whilst also being incredibly lightweight. I hate anything that weighs the hair down and this spray is always my go to when I want something easy, quick and with the added bonus of doubling as a heat protectant this is the one I would recommend for anyone needed a hard working multi-tasker. Yarok use brilliant ingredients and this styling spray is full of oils including jojoba, olive, grapeseed oil and has a subtle herbal smell that is lovely.

Yarok Feed your roots mousse (From £8.50 for 2 oz) If you are after volume then the feed your roots mousse is one for you, although I don't use this as often as the leave in conditioner it's the one I always reach for to give my hair some oomph. If when you think about mousse you think of the crunchy curls that didn't move from the nineties, think again, this mousse comes out in a gentle foam and worked in to the roots of the hair it gives volume without the nasty crispiness. Again full of beautiful ingredients I think Yarok is a brand that has got it very right when it comes to these products, both of these are exclusive to A Beautiful World in the UK.

A'kin Ginkgo and Jojoba Intensive moisture mask (£8.40 for 150 mls from Naturisimo) Easily my most repurchased haircare product of the last few years, this lightweight cream is fantastic for smoothing the hair and locking in moisture without leaving residue or a sticky feeling. I particularly like to use this when I am leaving my hair to air dry, a small amount combed through the lengths of the hair really makes a difference especially if you suffer from frizz.

Love and Salt beach hair and body mist (From £8.50 for 2 oz) Another A Beautiful World exclusive this salt spray from Olivine is perfect for getting those beachy waves we all love and adding texture whilst also injecting the hair with some serious moisture. This is the scent of holidays in a bottle, a sweet coconut scent and a mix of pink himalayan salts and coconut oil make this so lovely to use and I think it will be perfect for the summer, in fact I can see this being the only product I will be using in the warmer months.

What are your favourite styling products?

  1. Ooh, the mousse sounds lovely. I find it difficult to find styling products that don't weigh my fine hair down, so these sound great. X

    1. I can't stand anything too heavy so if they make it on the blog it's because they are super light, Yarok would be great for you! :) Xx

  5. I love all of these!!! Well, I haven't tried the A'kin product yet, but it's definitely happening now ;) Think I'm most impressed with the leave-in conditioner. Usually it's easy for me to over do it in that department, but I agree the Yarok one is super lightweight :)
