New in at A Beautiful World for 2015 are these body washes* (£12.50 for 9.5 fluid oz) they discovered in Brooklyn, Plant are a brand that combine Scandinavian cool with green practices. The packaging is incredibly unique and certainly stands out on the bathroom shelf, which is no surprise when it was created by husband and wife team Bjarke Ballisager and Holly McWhorter who are architects turned product designers.
The body washes comes in several scents:
BE WELL: With essential oils of Eucalyptus, Bergamot and Lemongrass.
CALM DOWN: With ginger and lavender
GET HAPPY: With Geranium and Peppermint
GET IT ON: With cedarwood, Sandalwood and Ginger
WAKE UP: With Rosemary and Lemongrass
I have been trying out Calm down and the scent combination itself is very unique, the ginger is spicy and warm but is mellowed slightly by the lavender. The formula itself is really lovely, a base of coconut, olive and jojoba oils and aloe vera which makes them extremely pure and very nourishing, much more so than other similar castille soaps I have tried and a pleasure to use. The entire range is scented with aromatherapeutic essential oils in combinations created depending on your mood, with fun names that tell you exactly the feeling they are aiming to induce.
The washes have a light gel consistency and I recommend you take a small amount and work in in to your hands or a Konjac sponge to create some lather before applying to get the most out of them. Despite the quirky packaging, great ingredients and fabulous scent range what really appeals to me about these body washes is that Plant makes them at a non-profit workshop run by adults with disabilities, creating jobs and opportunities, socially responsible and utterly gorgeous these are a fantastic addition to anyone's bathroom shelf.
You can find the full range here and there is a discount code only until the end of this week I believe that gives you 10% off when you enter the code HAPPY10.
