Easy cleaning naturally with Greenscents

I am in love with new brand, they don't have the latest lipstick or shiny new moisturiser but their products have revolutionised my cleaning regime and the green credentials are better than many cosmetic brands.

Green beauty news #16

I am back with another green beauty news post, they really are my favourite to write although they are bad for my bank balance as temptation is never far away. With the promise of warmer weather in the air I have a real spring in my step, there are also some really really beautiful new spring make up and skincare launches which have caught my eye.

Rave Review: Green People Age defy+ DD tinted moisturiser

Finding a good liquid base without the usual suspect ingredients is notoriously hard, whether it be lack of pigmentation or blendability so far the perfect base has escaped me. I have found the closest thing to perfect in this DD cream from Green People though so all is not lost!

A Touch of luxury: Mel Millis Mixing vessel by Emma Clegg

There is something wonderful about mixing your own beauty products, my favourite thing to do especially at the weekend is to mix up a mask customised exactly to what my skin needs. I was kindly sent this beautiful mixing vessel by Tracey the founder of Mel Millis which is available as part of the Phytonutri Qi Skincare Essentials box as a Christmas gift and it takes pride of place on my dressing table.

This china mixing vessel is designed and made exclusively for Mel Millis by Ceramist Emma Clegg in the Cotswolds, the delicate forget me knot pattern is simply exquisite and the vessel itself is perfect for mixing masks, treatments and can even be used for tea. I have raved about Mel Millis skincare often on this blog and my Instagram, I think this mixing vessel is so perfect for use with the Plankton skin remedy, which is my favourite mask (Review here). What I love the most about this is that it encourages me to take a moment and immerse myself in the ritual of good skincare, the ritual of taking care of myself. If you are looking for beautiful organic products with the best quality ingredients Mel Millis has everything you could need whether it be as a gift to yourself of for a loved one. This little bowl is something so simple, yet so beautiful and I treasure it.

When it comes to affordable natural and organic ranges that have impressed me a name that comes up consistently is Organic Surge. The line is currently going through a bit of a make over and have launched a more luxe skincare line called Extra care.

The essentials: Soapwalla deodorant cream

I think we can all agree a good deodorant is an essential, there has been a huge amount of negative press towards deodorant, especially the parabens in them which are a preservative and aluminium which is the ingredient that reduces the bodies ability to sweat.

The energy booster: Viridian Qi-Ribose

Whilst this blog is primarily beauty based I do talk about other subjects including supplements and healthy living. For me when I choose my supplements carefully and make time to take them I always know I am on the right track, the one of self care rather than sabotage.
