Beauty classics: The organic Pharmacy carrot butter cleanser

The Carrot butter cleanser* (£39.95 for 75 mls) from the Organic Pharmacy is a product with something a cult following, and having had the pleasure to try it out for myself I can see why. The Organic Pharmacy is a brand that was created by Margo Marrone, a pharmacist who specialised in homeopathy and the healing power of herbs.

This cleansing balm is rich and luscious, the ingredients although simple, are healing and soothing making this perfect for dry and sensitive skin types. Take a small amount and melt it between your hands, take a moment to inhale the beautiful rosemary, chamomile and lavender scent and massage the blend of cocoa butter, jojoba, and Shea butter in to the skin for a beautiful glowy complexion.

Although this initially feels quite thick if used sparingly it removes easily with a warm flannel, the texture and scent provide a beautiful sensory experience and the oils and butters rescue even the driest of skins. Although it may seem expensive this pot contains 75 mls, so a third more than the average 50 ml cleansing balm and performs beautifully. As a cleansing balm lover I can't find much to fault with this lovely product but if you find balms too heavy I would steer clear, this is very much heavy duty.

  4. Hi Ana,

Love this little review - I picked up a few Organic Pharmacy products recently and am yet to try them. This cleansing balm sounds lovely, although I've never used a balm before so it'd definitely be a new experience!
