Latest in Beauty - Build your own box December

Although I like to shop in stores that make natural and organic their USP, these days you can find lot's of natural products in places that perhaps you wouldn't expect. I first discovered Latest in Beauty a few years ago and I like the concept. It's an online store that creates collections of beauty products so you can discover products from up and coming or well established brands. I don't often shop the pre-made collections as most of the time they are not exclusively "natural" or "green" but I have been a big fan of the "Build your own box" selection for some time and it has introduced me to some fabulous brands.

Green Beauty Predictions for 2017

I am stealing this idea for a post from Fiona at the Beauty Shortlist, she recently wrote her 2017 beauty predictions (you can find that post here) and I loved what she had to say. If you don't know Fiona or the Beauty Shortlist awards, either as a beauty enthusiast or as a brand, then you should. Every year the Beauty Shortlist awards introduces me to at least one new fabulous brand I didn't know before. They are a must for anyone who is looking for niche brands that are a little bit different, although not entirely green, she does champion small green brands alongside the more mainstream which is fantastic.

Party prep beauty - Skincare, body care and makeup

Party season is well underway and I wanted to show some of the star products I have been testing that are perfect for this time of year. A lot of these are new to me products, with a few old favourites thrown in. I have quite limited time to get ready this year as I have Baby Green to keep me busy so I am keeping it simple with speedy products.

Introducing Terreverdi skincare

I have to say 2016 saw so many new discoveries for me in terms of brands and products, more than I could really keep up with in fact. I mentioned Terreverdi back in September as part of my Organic Beauty week posts and I thought it was a brand that definitely was worth revisiting. Terreverdi was created by Alessandra de Gregorio who was inspired by her childhood in Sicily to reconnect with nature and re-evaluate many of her choices after she had her four children.

Juice Beauty Stem cellular Anti-Wrinkle booster serum

I am pretty sure Juice Beauty are contenders for one of the longest product names with this serum, although there are a few that are even longer! I do sometimes wonder if brands are having some kind of secret competition we don't know about when naming their products. But anyway back to the important stuff, the review itself!

Skincare tips: How to apply facial oils and serums

My love for face oils and serums runs deep, but I had never used one until I fell down the green beauty rabbit hole. I am convinced that if I had to pin point one thing that had made a big difference to my skin, adding a face oil daily would be it! Having said all that, it took me a little time to work out how to best apply face oil to ensure glowing skin without the oil slick, so in today's post I wanted to share my top tips for using a facial oil for all skin types.

Best natural and organic cleansers on a budget - £15 and under

Cleansing is the first and most important step of any skincare routine and one that needs to be done properly. One of the questions I get asked the most is to give options for budget friendly cleansers that are natural but that still perform well, so I thought I would round up some of my favourites!

New in: Korean natural skincare from Whamisa

Despite the fact that Korean skincare is a huge trend and has been for some time, it is one I haven't really delved in to because I assumed that Korean inspired natural and organic products didn't really exist. That all changed when I was introduced to Whamisa, the brand is BDIH and Ecocert certified and uses a high percentage of organic ingredients in their products.

The Autumn edit with Love Lula

Autumn for me comes with it's own particular skin challenges and needs. It's also a time when darker evenings means more time to indulge in a hot bath and some pampering to keep everything in check. I have been testing lot's of Autumn appropriate products, look out for a big face balm comparison coming very soon, but this little edit is some of the best Autumn products that are all available at natural and organic beauty boutique Love Lula.

The five minute make up look (Using Natural and organic products)

Having just had a baby six months ago, I will admit that until recently make up was relatively low on my list of things to do, especially as I now work from home. I will confess though, that I have really missed my make up routine and am thoroughly enjoying getting reacquainted with the contents of my make up bag. I may have added quite a few new products too, all in the name of research of course.

Another great selection from Love Lula this month with a few new to me products. My box arrived a little later than normal, but I think it was worth the wait considering there are three full sized products and a nice selection of samples. In every box you get a 20% discount code to use on the brands featured in the box each month, which means if you fall in love with a product or want to explore more from the brand ,if you are quick ordering you can take advantage.

Skin and Tonic is one of the newer brands on the market but one I wanted to talk about this Organic Beauty week. When I first tried and wrote about Skin and Tonic (Read that post here), I loved their fresh feel and less is more ingredients policy. The more products I try from them, the more I like the brand and the products that they offer, they are for me everything a green brand should be.

Shaving gel is one of those staple products people use a lot but don't often think about.
