Some lovely new products for you today from Green People who are expanding their current Quinoa offerings with two new body care products. In terms of ethics and quality I find Green People to be one of the most reliable brands out there, they have a huge selection, which means something for everyone and I have lost count of the times I have recommended their make up especially the pressed powder products to anyone looking for a talc free option.
These two new products lived up to and exceeded my expectations:
The Quinoa and Probiotics Deodorant (£9.50 for 75mls) has proven to be quite a hit. For someone who was late to the natural deodorant party I have thoroughly enjoyed testing different types, you will find lot's of in depth reviews on the site but I was especially excited to try this one as it comes in a more traditional roller ball format. It contains a host of lovely ingredients such as Shea Butter, Aloe Vera and Zinc to absorb odours. It also contains pro-biotics which Green People say "support healthy bacteria and restrict odour forming bacteria". Whether or not the pro-biotics make a big difference I couldn't say but judging the product on it's overall formula and results I can say it is impressive. The product goes on quickly and easily and doesn't need a long drying time before you can dress, great for busy people. It has a very pleasant ginger and citrus scent, quite unisex and on me lasts a full day, first roll on that I have been able to say that with. The lack of bicarbonate of soda will be a bonus for sensitive skins as this is extremely gentle. It uses potassium alum instead of the more controversial Aluminium chlorohydrate which I also use in other products but they have never been quite as effective as this one, so there must be something else about the formula that works with my body chemistry, whether it's the probiotics or the essential oil blend who can say. This is currently available for pre-order and will available on the site very soon.
The Quinoa and Calendula Shower gel (£14.95 for 200 mls) is a gentle shower gel with a lovely texture and even nicer scent, the same ginger and citrus combination from the deodorant. It contains 82% certified organic ingredients and Yucca which gently foams without stripping the skin. There isn't much to be said for shower products, although they are some of my favourites to test, but this one does what it says, cleans without drying and is a pleasure to reach for in the mornings.
Green People currently have a 3 for 2 offer on their body care so if you are a fan it is worth stocking up on essentials to save some cash. Both products are vegan friendly and no animal testing.
