When it comes to applying your natural and organic make up options good quality brushes are a must have.
I like my brushes to all be synthetic and vegan, personally I find synthetic fibres apply the products better and are easier to clean. My latest vegan brush discovery is Spectrum brushes who have the most beautiful selection of all vegan brushes I think I have seen.
I couldn't find any information on the Spectrum website about the materials the handles are made from, or any other green credentials, to be honest I find the most important factor for me with brushes is that they last well and these seem very well made. The brand is registered vegan and cruelty free by Peta, so if certification is important to you they have that covered.
I purchased the very beautiful four piece Marbleous collection (£34.99), I was attracted the rose gold ferrule, having been interested in the Zoeva rose gold collection previously I was disappointed to see that not all Zoeva brushes are vegan, so Spectrum really attracted my attention. The collection contains four face brushes, more than enough for a whole look.
B02- Flat top domed buffer and B03- Domed buffer are both perfect for base, liquid and powders work well with the synthetic fibres. I have also used the domed buffer for cream blush options such as RMS lip to cheeks and even mineral blushers.
C03- Tulip Powder is great for contour and any powder cheek products, I just love how this fits the hollows of the cheeks and works with the contours of the face. The C04- Angled powder brush is great for Bronzer, powder or blush. I find it is just the right size for getting my make up done quickly and efficiently.
These brushes are very soft, wash well and so far do not shed. They came with brush guards to ensure that the shape is maintained when they have washes and to protect them when carrying them in your make up bag. If you are looking for beautiful cruelty free brushes then Spectrum have a brilliant selection, shop the range at www.spectrumcollections.com.
