It's the start of Organic Beauty week and as usual I will be highlighting some of my favourite Organic brands.
Organic Beauty Week is an event run by the Soil Association aimed at educating consumers about Organic beauty, what certification means and promoting the brands that carry their logo. I have a post outlining some of the offers and events taking place which I will be updating throughout the week here. Although I make an extra effort to highlight some of my favourite organic beauty brands during Organic Beauty week, I am a big supporter of Organic all year round, the brands that you will see highlighted this week get mentions not just because they are certified organic, but because I love the quality and efficacy of the products as well as their ethics.
I am starting the week with my top recommendation for an easy product to switch if you are dipping your toe in the water of organic beauty, especially good for Autumn is an Organic body oil. If you are moisturising with a conventional body lotion you will be using a formula that is mostly water and mineral oil. Some brands will add a couple of token plant oils and all will need a hefty amount of preservatives. Considering the prices of some of these body lotions, switching to a really concentrated body oil that is 100% plant oils and extracts is a great switch to make.
The Pinks Boutique Sweet Orange and Neroli Body oil (£29.95 for 100 mls) is a fabulous option, packed with 99% organic ingredients all of which are fantastic for the skin. Apricot, jojoba and Vitamin E leave the skin really soft and nourished and the beautiful essential oil blend helps you unwind at the end of a long day. If you aren't used to using body oils before, you will need to use much less than you would a lotion because they are so concentrated and they work perfectly on damp skin after a shower. You can also a couple of pumps of this oil to your bath water instead for a relaxing experience. This is such a treat to use, luxe pampering and great for you.
Pinks Boutique are one of my favourite Organic ranges, every product carries the Soil Association logo which is very impressive and every product I have tried has been superb quality. Pinks Boutique is a professional range too, used and sold in some of the top Spa's around the country. Pinks Boutique founders Kirstie and Luke are truly passionate about organic and get heavily involved in Organic Beauty week every year. They have created some fantastic wallet sized ingredients guides, highlighting some of the main ingredients they feel you should avoid, which is a really useful tool to take shopping which you will receive in your order or can pick up at a their celebrated Spa's. To find a Spa near you that offers Pinks Boutique Organic treatments click here, many of the Spa's will have offers and promotions for Organic Beauty week so there has never been a better time to switch to a healthier and more luxurious treatment.
