It has been almost six months since I first put Baby Green in cloth nappies and it has been without a doubt one of the best parenting decisions I have made. You can read about why I chose reusable over disposable nappies in my first post - Why I use Cloth nappies.

It's hard to keep up with the subscription box market at the moment, there has never been so much choice and it is highly competitive. Little Bit Lavish is a box that caught my because it is all about a bit of me time, something I am sorely in need of at the moment. The choice of brands both in this months box and previous boxes also caught my eye, a nice mix of up and coming brands and mainly natural products or organic products.

January is notoriously cold and wet month. A crash back to reality after all of the excitement of December. I thought I would share three products with you that I have been testing throughout January that have made the month that little bit more bearable. They all have in common that they feel nurturing and a little bit special.

If one of your new years resolutions is to make time for yourself then I have a wonderful therapeutic and pampering brand to share with you. Micheline Arcier is a brand I hadn't heard of until relatively recently, but they have already scooped several Beauty Shortlist awards.

There really are lot's of simple ways to create less waste. We can use natural products and the purest ingredients, but if our beauty routine remains unnecessarily wasteful then I don't think it can ever be truly green. I have been really inspired by lot's of zero waste blogs and books lately, but I will admit some of their suggestions take things a little too far, for example you won't be finding me grinding burnt almonds to make eye liner any time soon! I fully accept that I am never going to be a minimalist in my beauty routine but there are some simple changes I have implemented to reduce waste. Here are the swaps that I find the most helpful, they are easy and they are sustainable over time as well as being good for your pocket, because they should save money in the long run. Wasting less shouldn't make life more complicated, in fact the opposite is true!

Just before Christmas Tisserand relaunched their bath and body collection with slick new packaging and three gorgeous scents. It's no secret that I have a preference for aromatherapy brands and Tisserand combine years of expertise in essential oils with affordable price points. I have introduced Tisserand to some family members too and it has been a big hit!

Had you asked me pre baby if I would be up for using reusable menstrual products my answer would have undoubtedly been a resounding no. However having had two children in cloth nappies and having seen the wonderful benefits, when I was approached by Bloom and Nora to try their new range of cloth sanitary pads my mind was more than open to the idea. I actually started to look in to reusable menstrual products before I got pregnant with Baby Green, I had made so many other successful changes in my life that this seemed like a logical progression.
