It's hard to keep up with the subscription box market at the moment, there has never been so much choice and it is highly competitive. Little Bit Lavish is a box that caught my because it is all about a bit of me time, something I am sorely in need of at the moment. The choice of brands both in this months box and previous boxes also caught my eye, a nice mix of up and coming brands and mainly natural products or organic products.
Little Bit Lavish promises 5-7 treats per month delivered to your door, the contents are a surprise and the cost of the subscription comes in at £18-£20 depending on how long you subscribe for. Little Bit Lavish promises that all of the products will be cruelty free and many will also be natural and/or organic with one of the items being a food item.
Let's take a look at what was included in the January box:
Olofson Facial oil One - (10 ml size worth £12) This brand is based in Sussex and is entirely new to me. This is a natural oil scented with Frangipani, it is lovely and light with a hazelnut oil base and works brilliantly with the Jade Roller also included in the box. I am very pleased to have discovered this brand, as a natural beauty junkie it's not that often I get introduced to something new, but Little Bit Lavish is off to a good start here.
Jade Facial Roller - (Full size worth £10) I have always wanted one of these rollers and having used it for a facial massage with the Olofson oil I can't believe I didn't jump on the bandwagon before. The Roller feels really cooling on the skin and helps the oil to penetrate whilst also increasing circulation, big winner for me.
Soothe Me Everyday Hand cream (Full size worth £7.50) This is a brand I have been following for ages but never had a chance to try, so I was delighted to see it in the box. It contains a mixture of Frankincense and grapefruit essential oils and smells simply incredible, as well as being great on the skin. A very nice little product and one that would encourage me to try more from the brand.
Isla Apothecary Neroli body oil (Half size worth £16) I am loving all things Isla and I had this product on my list to try. If only you could smell this, it's incredible! Packed full of lovely ingredients like pumpkin seed oil, coconut and rosehip this oil feels like a real luxury, the perfect pick me up with it's sunny scent too.
Saturated colour scrub stick (Full size worth £6.50) This item is the only that I would describe as non natural because it does have a mineral oil base, but it is at least microbead free which is great. I will be passing this one on to a friend so haven't tried it, but it's a lip scrub in a stick format which is rather clever.
Good Full Stop Cherry and Maple fruit and nut bar - This is the food treat for the month and I would love to tell you how it tasted but my eight year devoured it when he got back from school, I will take the fact that it lasted less than a minute and the fact that he asked for more as a sign it was indeed tasty!
This months box is great value for money and really like how this box is shining a light on smaller brands. Obviously I would prefer an entirely natural box but I think Little Bit Lavish is really sweet of you are in search of cruelty free beauty products and are starting to also incorporate natural and organic items in to your routine. The face oil and the jade roller are going to get a lot of use over the next month I can tell. The boxes ship for free within the UK, for more information or to subscribe go to www.littlebitlavish.co.uk.
