Introducing Natural Beauty box: Kissed by the Ocean edition

Up until recently there haven't been too many subscription boxes catering for natural and organic consumers, especially in the UK, but that is changing with new boxes launching; some that have left me less than impressed but others that I think are definitely note worthy. The Natural beauty box is definitely in the latter category, for those of you who love a subscription box, I am working on a bumper post of all the natural and cruelty free friendly boxes available and my thoughts on them; so stay tuned.

Mother's Day gift ideas

With Mother's day fast approaching I thought I would put together a list of some of my favourite products for gifting. I love any occasion to introduce people to new brands, I have had lot's of great feedback from people on some of the more niche brands as gifts and I think it's lovely to give something that isn't so well known, as it makes it that bit more special.

Introducing Isla Apothecary

I absolutely fell in love with Isla Apothecary before I had even tried the products. Those Rose gold labels started it off but once I had visited the website and read a little more, I knew I had to try the brand.

Dafna's Nutrition Night Treatment review

I find so much happiness and contentment in my night time skincare routine. Taking off your make up at the end of the day, applying body oil and of course my skincare ritual are all part of setting the scene for (hopefully!) a good night's sleep. My newest skincare hero is the beautiful Dafna's Nutrition, a nurturing night cream that uses a wonderful blend of natural ingredients and the principles of Ayurveda to bring balance to the skin.

Tropic Skincare Colour click lipstick review

I have had mixed results with Vegan Lipsticks in the past, getting the formula right does seem to be something of an art form, but when they are done well it's a major plus.

Greener alternatives to baby wipes: Close parent and Cheeky wipes (reusable wipes) review

I have had a few people ask me about baby wipes and what I use for Baby Green, so I thought I would do a post explaining my thoughts on wipes in terms of ingredients and their environmental effects.

Brand Focus: Barefoot SOS

Barefoot SOS is a brand I have dipped in and out of for years, so these reviews are in fact quite overdue, but as usual better late than never. There is a cute story behind the Barefoot SOS brand name, it's inspired by the ancient Chinese tradition of doctors who travelled village to village without shoes dispensing natural remedies as they went. The brand has a fair amount of awards under it's belt and is free from parabens, SLS, mineral oil/paraffin and artificial fragrances and colours. As well as that the entire range is suitable for vegans.

New in: AA Skincare shower gel collection

Shower gels are one of the most used products in our house, sometimes we do use a bar soap too but in general we all tend to like the feel of a more traditional wash. When AA Skincare launched this latest collection of shower gels I had a feeling we would be in for a treat and they didn't disappoint.

Just for Tummies Live Bacteria review

When it comes to supplementation I like to keep things really rather simple, firstly because I think that taking too many products can sometimes be counter productive but also because let's be honest things can get rather pricey if you go overboard. I have been consistently supplementing with Omega 3 for months now, I really believe it makes a big difference to my skin and overall health, however during pregnancy I developed some digestive issues that I was looking for a solution to, and probiotics kept coming up in my research.
