Tropic Skincare Supergreens and Good skin day serums review

Perhaps one of my favourite discoveries of the past few months, Tropic Skincare is proving to be a lovely brand that has exceeded all my expectations, both in terms of ingredients and performance. Everything I tried so far has been excellent, the brand boasts vegan and cruelty free status as well as using natural ingredients in the formulas.

Herbfarmacy Calming Face cream review

With the weather transitioning slowly and getting warmer, I have been moving away from the thicker creams and looking for more versatile spring moisturisers. I have tried quite a few Herbfarmacy products now, in fact they are one of my favourite brands, so I thought I would give the calming face cream a go and see how my skin likes it.

New in: Nourish 3D Cleanse

Nourish are a brand that are using cutting edge ingredients and are releasing some really interesting formulas. It is also a brand that I think are very consistent in the quality of the products they produce, especially when you consider value for money, I feel they are very good indeed. When I first heard about this cleanser, released a few months ago I was intrigued and very excited to test it out.

Herbs that heal: Chatting with Paul Richards of Herbfarmacy

One of the first brands I discovered when I fell in love with natural beauty was Herbfarmacy and it is still one of my favourites today. Herbfarmacy are based in the Herefordshire hills, their five acre farm is packed with rows and rows of herbs grown for their wonderful soothing and healing properties and added to their skincare and body care ranges.

New in: Lué by Jean Seo

I love natural and green beauty; balms, butters, oils can't get enough of them. I do feel though that there are gaps in the market at the moment, with many brands focusing on high end oils and balms it means acne prone, dehydrated or simply delicate skins are often forgotten. This is where it's always great to discover a brand filling the gaps. I am not sure I would have picked up Lué had it not been introduced to me by Content Beauty, nothing about it screamed "buy me" initially,  but this brand in it's understated packaging is worth a second look, that's for sure.

Skincare and wellbeing products perfect for a cold

I haven't been well this week, it's hardly surprising given there has been at least one person ill in the house at any one time for the past few months. It feels like it has been one thing after the other, especially for poor baby who has a had a run of bad luck. The upside is that I can test products under tougher than usual circumstances and report back on which ones have been helping get me through and making me feel less sorry for myself.

Cutting through the Marketing Hype, Blogger overload and an ever more competitive market

I have been writing about natural and organic beauty consistently for over four years now and I have been a consumer of natural brands for over eight. In some ways writing about natural beauty (I use natural for lack of a better word, because natural and green are a huge spectrum rather than a one size fits all) becomes easier the longer you do it, in other ways it has become significantly harder.

Boxwalla - Secret Garden box first impressions

This is my second Boxwalla box; You can see my first impressions of the Let It Glow box here. In a short space of time these boxes have become one of my favourites, all three products from the Let It Glow box are wonderful, but in particular I have loved the Lina Hanson global face trio, which is such a wonderful gentle but effective exfoliator and mask. It has become my weekend cleanser and treatment of choice, I pop it on before a shower and leave it for a while before washing it off. All my treatments go on so nicely afterwards and skin is calm and happy.

Green Beauty news: February

Let's pretend I am getting this post up on time and in February, the truth is baby has not only dropped down to just one daytime nap but she is also now cruising and crawling at speed, so my day is mainly about trying to ensure she isn't bumping her head or getting stuck in the laundry basket... (true story). So apologies for a slightly quieter week on the blog front, but needs must.
