Natural and Organic certifications to trust: NATRUE

All of this week I have been talking about Organic beauty and what certification means for brands and consumers. At a time when the natural beauty market is expanding more than ever, looking for certifications can help consumers buy with confidence knowing that brands have voluntary signed up to provide a certain quality and standard. I have talked a lot about the Soil Association stamp, especially as they organise Organic Beauty and Wellbeing week, but today I am turning my attention to the NATRUE seal and what it means.

Organic Beauty and Wellbeing week 2017: Look for the Logo

This week was Organic Beauty and Wellbeing week, an event organised by the Soil Association, one of the leading certifying bodies for organic cosmetics, food and textiles. Organic beauty and wellbeing week is all about raising the profile of organic, there is a lot of misconceptions about organic beauty and unlike food there is no legal standard that cosmetic companies have to abide by to call their products organic, meaning that there is a lot of deceptive marketing going on. Brands with little organic content are thrown in the same category as brands who have a high organic content and abide by strict rules.

New in: Walden natural perfumes

How beautiful is this latest launch, I am actually smitten with the sophisticated packaging of the Walden perfumes. Solid glass bottles and wooden topped lids make this a nice choice for a conscious consumer that doesn't want to compromise on looks or performance of their products.

I am sure I can't be the only one who is getting very excited about some warmer weather being on the way, it has felt grey and cold in the UK for too long. In anticipation of some warmer weather and because I am making an effort to get back to wearing make up regularly again I have been testing some new products that are perfect for spring and summer. There are quite a few new to me brands and some old favourites in today's post, so lets get started.
