Erbaviva Baby review

When it comes to baby products I am without a doubt quite fussy, they have to be amazing quality, made with gentle ingredients and perform brilliantly. I don't incorporate any new products into her routine unless they tick those boxes and I don't try a lot of new products for the sake of it unless the brand is really interesting.

Erbaviva is a US brand from California, that has twenty years experience creating organic products. When it comes to ethics, ingredients and looking after the planet, Erbaviva are doing some great work. Their products are certified organic by the USDA and they also use Biodynamic ingredients, which means that the ingredients are grown in a holistic system, that supports wildlife and soil optimally. Erbaviva is also a certified B corporation, which means that the brand focuses on helping social and environmental issues.

I have two products to show you that we have been testing on baby, both have been gorgeous:

Erbaviva Body wash - This gentle wash is scented with mandarin and is wonderfully fresh. I like to use it with a Konjac sponge, but a flannel also works well. It is a low foaming product, which makes it gentle for baby as well as the inclusion of oat extract, aloe vera and calendula, all well known for their soothing properties. Baby green doesn't have a lot of hair yet, so I mostly avoid using a separate shampoo, this body wash works perfectly on hair too. The pump bottle is easy to use and very practical in the bath. Despite how gentle it is, this wash still works great on a grubby toddler making it a winner in our house.

Sniffles organic chest balm - I am sure I am not alone in feeling completely helpless when your baby feels unwell. Baby has had a couple of colds in the last few months and there is very little you can do to help as a lot of medicines and remedies aren't suitable for small babies. The natural chest rub has a blend of essential oils such as eucalyptus, tea tree and cypress oil. Importantly it is specifically formulated for babies, so these oils are used in a lesser quantity than they would be for adults. The balm smells beautiful and provides gentle relief for congestion. It is quite a hard balm and needs warming in your hands before application, but once it is melted is easy to apply. This post has had a lot of use and lasts a long time, so a nice one to have in the house. Especially good to apply at bedtime.

Erbaviva is a US brand that has really high standards of ingredients and ethics. The prices are on the higher end, but both products have lasted us months and the quality is apparent when you use them. You can find Erbaviva at A Beautiful World in the UK who have a natural baby boutique on their site and ship internationally.
