Summer beauty buys - Featuring Tropic Skincare, Moa, Schmidt's, Dr Organic, and Beauty Kitchen

It's been a while since a did a seasonal round up, as usual the products I pick are suitable all year round, but feel particularly fitting for the season. I have mostly body care bit's and pieces with one skincare item and some aromatherapy thrown in too, for some more skincare items I am really enjoying see my previous post - Current skincare favourites.

Starting out with some lovely bits from the Tropic skincare summer collection, if you haven't discovered Tropic yet they have a great selection of skincare, body care and make up, all cruelty free and vegan and with plenty of natural ingredients too. The Wild mint, lime and pineapple body wash smells like summer, fresh but sweet and I am obsessed with the creamy texture and lovely scent. If you are looking for a lovely SLS free body wash that smells incredible and doesn't dry the skin, this one really ticks the right boxes. Another favourite has been the Summer goddess shimmering body oil, this oils has a lovely texture and leaves a pretty sheen behind on the skin, perfect for using with summer dresses. You can see below that is subtle rather than disco ball glitter which is nice! It also smells delicious, there is a theme here as you can see.

On to the latest release from Evolve, the Daily defence moisture mist has prickly pear oil and moringa peptides as well as hyaluronic acid to hydrate and bind moisture to the skin. I have to say I find Evolve's products very impressive, especially given they have a great price point and this mist is no exception. The dispenser applies ayer of the mist to the skin and it has a really nice fresh scent as well as feeling really cooling and refreshing on the skin, perfect for the hot weather. It comes in two sizes, one perfect for home a travel size which is perfect for your handbag or carry on. I have been taking it everywhere with me and it has been brilliant to use on the go, especially when I am in and out of hot cars with the kids running errands.

Another gorgeous new release, this time from MOA (Magic organic apothecary) whose bath oil has something of a cult following and I have reviewed mentioned previously. The Hello Sunshine Energising body oil has a beautiful blend of citrus notes with deeper herbal scents such as eucalyptus and pine. The olive, sesame and rapeseed oils nourish and tackle dryness, whilst the essential oils work on your mood and circulation. It is lovely after a bath or shower and sets me up for a great day when I use it. Really nice and cheerful thanks to the lemongrass.

The search for a good natural deodorant is a difficult one. I have been a fan of Schmidt's for some time now and have been testing the new Coconut and Pineapple sensitive formula stick. This one has no bicarbonate of soda (some people can be sensitive to it) but still works really well to keep me fresh all day. the stick format is perfect for popping in your gym bag or travelling with and I haven't had any issues with it staining my clothes either. Really recommend you try these if the regular Schmidt's didn't work well for you, they are available at A Beautiful World.

Staying with the energising theme, I love fresh scents at this time of year. The Beauty kitchen Inspire me body mist is a fantastic product for carrying in your bag. It can be used as a body moisturiser, or as a body spray and perfume. I love it for freshening up when out and about. The blend of grapefruit, orange, peppermint and basil is just gorgeous!

For that mid afternoon slump this fab little rollerball from Dr Organic is just the thing. The Energising aroma ball has a lovely blend of lemon, cypress, Juniper and bitter orange and is so fresh and light. I like to roll it on the inside of my wrists and do a couple of good breaths to get my energy back.

So there you have it, some summer favourites. All I need now is the sun to come out! On the topic of sun, I am currently writing a massive sunscreen post, so stay tuned.
