Tropic Skincare Lip Glaze review

If you love a gloss, I have some very pretty shades to share with you from Tropic skincare. I have written about Tropic before quite a few times, the brand is all cruelty free and vegan but also uses a lot of natural ingredients. If you don't know anything about the brand, it was founded my Susan Ma, a former Apprentice contestant who grew up in Australia, inspiring her love for botanicals and plant actives.

Every product I have tried so far from Tropic has been excellent value and quality, I have tried quite a bit of the skincare and body care but the make up range really interests me, because vegan make up that isn't full of synthetics is hard to come by.

The Lip glazes (£14 each) are award winning, bagging a Beauty Shortlist and Green Parent beauty award. There are three shades in total and I have two of them to show you, both perfect for the party season and could take you from day to night if you wished. The texture is non sticky and the pigmentation is really great, so you can layer over lipstick but they also work well as a lip colour by themselves.

Candy pop is the perfect everyday pink and Sugar plum is a shimmering berry. Both very wearable but I think Sugarplum is a gorgeous evening colour. Rather than the usual petrochemical based polymers that you find in make up, Tropic use plant based polymers from plant oils, which gives them a bit more longevity on the lips.

They also have castor oil, berry wax and meadow farm seed oil, making them hydrating on the lips. There is some synthetic pigment in these glosses; natural pigments are still quite limited in terms of the colours you can achieve, but overall the formula in my opinion is a good one. Have you got any Tropic favourites? Share them in the comments below so I can check them out.
