Skincare for sensitive skin: Weleda White Mallow body lotion

My own skincare routine is full of Weleda products, they are a brand I love and trust and I have also used their children’s products on my son for years. When I saw they had released a new line specifically for sensitive skin I was excited to try it out, both on myself and the little man in my life who is now six. The White Mallow Body lotion (£11.95 for 200 mls) contains white mallow and pansy to soothe skin prone to irritation as well as lot’s of beautiful plant oils such as coconut, safflower, cocoa seed butter and sweet almond.

This cream is easily absorbed and has a medium consistency but skin feels very nourished and soothed after using it. I use this on both myself when I am looking for something free from essential oils and on my son especially after he has been swimming as his skin can get a little dry, I can’t say enough good things about this product as a great everyday lotion, perfect for children or adults with sensitive skin or anyone avoiding essential oils for example if you are in the first trimester of pregnancy. I had some insect bites on my arm, the itchy, swollen and angry type and I reached for this is a bid to calm the area down, to my amazement after ten minutes the redness and swelling had subsided, the itching was completely gone and I was left was a couple of marks nothing else.

Green Beauty details: 100%Natural Certified by by Natrue, carries the National Eczema association seal of acceptance, no added fragrance (synthetic or essential oils), not suitable for vegans (contains beeswax), no mineral oils or synthetic preservatives, does contain organic grain alcohol (as a preservative).

A great line with great green beauty credentials and I can find Weleda on my local high street (check out Boots or your local health food store) but as a brand they are widely available on-line, worth looking at as is their calendula range for adults and children alike.
