Organic Surge: Extra care range review

When it comes to affordable natural and organic ranges that have impressed me a name that comes up consistently is Organic Surge. The line is currently going through a bit of a make over and have launched a more luxe skincare line called Extra care.

Organic Surge say: “Introducing the Extra care range for timeless skin solutions” the range is aimed at normal, dry or mature skin and I have found it to be very effective on skin that is also sensitive and reactive which mine is. Over the last few months I have been sampling nearly all of the range, introducing the products gradually but in the last few weeks I have been able to test out the whole routine together and have been pleased with the results. Organic Surge are proving that effective products don’t have to cost a fortune and I think it would be the perfect range for anyone just getting in to natural products. I will be reviewing four products today, with more to follow later on:

Brightening Hot cloth cleanser I have mentioned this cleanser before, it is a beautiful thick creamy cleanser with aloe vera, Shea butter and cocoa butter. Massage it in to dry skin and remove with a warm cloth or muslin, this does a good job of removing everything except the most stubborn make up and leaves skin soft and supple. I find this to be a more affordable option to other cream cleansers such as the one from Pai which saves on money but doesn’t mean a compromise on performance. I lovely option and one which I will be sure to buy again.

Hydrating eye cream This eye cream is lovely and soothing and is perfect for everyday use, I didn’t find it hydrating enough on it’s own but paired with an eye serum a few times a week it was perfect and it provides the perfect base for make up and is soothing. It’s an all around good eye cream that it great for the first signs of ageing, however if you want something to tackle heavy lines or dark circles you will have to use this with something else. The ingredients are great, jojoba, grapeseed, alfalfa and sweet almond in a base of aloe vera and 91% organic.

Replenishing Facial oil with Argan oil With organic safflower, sunflower and argan oil this blend is very easy absorbed and has almost a dry texture, I have found it to leave a lovely velvety finish to the skin and I like to mix about four drops with a pump of the serum which I will be reviewing another day. The oil has a beautiful lavender scent which is quite fresh, not old fashioned in any way, just like the eye cream if you have very dry skin I think this oil will leave you wanting more in terms of hydration but mixed with the rose day cream and serum I have found it to be perfect for my skin at this time of year when the weather is heating up and have found the texture of my skin to be smoother.

Nourishing rose day cream Perhaps my favourite product from the range this cream outperforms others that are much more expensive. It manages to strike the right balance between hydrating and light on the skin, layers well with other products and leaves the skin really soft and smooth. It contains aloe vera, argan oil, coconut oil, sodium hyluronate and damask rose which gives it a beautiful soothing scent.

I have been enjoying these products and would happily buy them myself, the new look and formulations have all exceeded my expectations and I think we can expect more good things to come from Organic surge.
