Josh Rosebrook shampoo and conditioner review

When it comes to cult green beauty lines Josh Rosebrook is right up there at the top of the list, I have a sneaky suspicion that it is just as much about his aura of health and light as it is for the thoughtful ingredients choices, essentially Josh is a great advert for his own line. So just who is the man behind the products? Well he is a hairdresser with a private studio in Beverly hills where he makes sure his A-List clients coming away looking and feeling great, working in the industry and building a business led Josh to create his own capsule skincare and haircare line where he could experiment with his love for natural ingredients.

I am currently testing some of Josh’s skincare but today I have for you a review of some of the haircare.

Deep nourishing shampoo (£32 for 8 ozs) Yes I know… there is no getting away from the fact that the price is high end, let’s get this out of the way now, if you are on a budget this is not for you, if you are in the US the price is much more reasonable, as ever importing products is not cheap but if you are shopping at A Beautiful world you can get 2 oz bottles for a less hair raising price of £7.95, trial sizes are always a winner in my book. This is a very pure and low lather shampoo, if you want the best ingredient list then I haven’t personally found better, but you will have to alter your washing technique slightly to make this work for you. I split my hair in to sections, around four and massage a small amount in to hair and scalp, you can still get your hair just as clean as you would like but I find it easy to miss a section if I am not careful. I can’t honestly say I could afford to use this shampoo exclusively but as a special treat it has been a joy to use and left my hair really bouncey thanks to the wonderful organic oils of hemp seed, coconut, apricot, and evening primrose as well as a lovely selection of herbal extracts including burdock, horsetail, sage, the list goes on and on. You honestly just don’t get this level of botanical ingredients in inexpensive lines and what you are paying for here clearly is a very well thought out formula.

Deep Nourishing conditioner (£32 for 8 ozs) Is again another joy of a product, it is a light to medium conditioner, not too heavy and I think perhaps may not be enough alone for the driest of hair but certainly enough for me as an everyday conditioner. Again the ingredients are stellar, if I could marry an ingredients list it would be this one, green beauties will understand my obsession with ingredients as we spend so long looking at them. Coconut, hemp seed and meadowfarm also make an appearance here, with a wonderful essential oil blend, have I mentioned these smell divine? Oh so fresh and clean, but then I expected nothing less. I am truly impressed with Josh’s ingredients choices and the performance is wonderful, I like to leave this on for a few minutes and when you rinse away your hair is easy to comb through and soft with lot’s of movement.

If you are feeling spendy these are some lovely products to empty your bank account with and if ultra clean is what you are after you will find it here in the unisex bottles and clean branding. Now to save up for that flight to LA so Josh can do my hair…
