I had been testing another eye cream for review, despite being initially quite happy with the plumping effect, I soon started to develop dry, sore patches under my eyes, so sadly said eye cream was relegated to the “doesn’t quite cut it draw”. This isn’t the first time this had happened and luckily for me after a quick check of my beauty stash I knew exactly which product to switch to, to solve the problem.
The Pai Echium and Argan gentle eye cream (£30 for 15 ml) has been a favourite of mine over the years, it’s formula manages to be light enough not to overload the eye area, whilst being super hydrating and nourishing. I find it gives instant relief if I have irritation around the eyes and within a few days my sore spot had completely disappeared. The key ingredients Echium and Argan are packed full of Omegas, I don’t think we see Echium used or spoken about enough but it really is a beautiful ingredient.
As always with every Pai product the formula is as much about what isn’t in it as what really is, there are no harsh preservatives, not even phenoxyethanol which is widely used and in this case I believe may be responsible for my irritation, I say possibly because I can’t be sure but I have a strong suspicion. The airless pump is perfect for keeping the formula fresh and one pump spread between your two ring fingers is enough for a generous application for both eyes.
If you are like me a sensitive soul and want an eye cream that soothes, this would be my top recommendation. Also a big thumbs up for the Age confidence message on the bottle, we don’t want to be told that getting older is the worst thing that could happen to us, personally I feel much more confident than I did ten years ago, this kind of marketing is lovely to see and easy to get on board with. Great job as always Pai!
Pai are certified organic by the Soil Association, Buav approved and this product is also Vegan, I don’t think it really get’s much better than that at this price point.
