Can skincare be Supernatural? Well it can when it combines the best sustainable ingredients, sourced from the earth and sea. Meet Ananné skincare the brand manufactured and developed in Switzerland by neuroscientist Professor Urs Pohlman.
Ananné is derived from the Greek word meaning to regenerate and the products contain pure plant oils such as Borage, Rosehip and Sea Buckthorn to nourish and protect the skin. Even though the brand is fairly young it already boasts several awards including the Beauty Shortlist Best new brand award.
If you are looking for an introduction to the brand, the Travel set is perfect, with sample sizes of the cleanser, day and night creams. The Lavanticum purifying cleanser is a beautiful creamy product, you get a lot of slip and it makes a really nice massage product, the key here is that it cleans without stripping the skin. This is a wonderful cleanser and it preps the skin perfectly for other products in the line. The Equilibrium day cream and the Cura Noctis night cream are gorgeously light but nourishing creams, I remember when I first started using organic products and the textures were all so heavy, these products remind me of just how far things have come. The Nectar cutis serum is a very light and silky oil, I would say this is an oil for people who aren’t convinced by oil serums, the satin feel is bound to change their minds. It comes in three varieties, normal, sensitive and dry skin and although my skin is far from normal usually I used the serum for normal skin during my pregnancy when I needed lighter products and loved the results. The Nectar cutis serum combines Macadamia oil, Rosehip oil and Bergamot fruit oil. Using these products my skin looked clear, bright and healthy.
Ananné are a luxury brand so expect prices to match, as always it’s about picking brands for your budget, if you want to invest in products that are the highest standard, work with the skins natural ability to heal itself and look and feel luxurious then this is for you. These products are vegan and for certain purchases Ananné will donate money to the charity Yes for Life. Find the full range at www.ananne.co.uk.
