I am sure I am not alone in loving the versatility and effects of a great pure oil, I get to test plenty for the blog and they are one of my favourite products. This new range of single plant oils called Ooh Oils of Heaven appealed to me because they are great quality and come sleekly packaged. They say: “Oils of Heaven was established to scour the world for the most effective beauty oils known to humankind and bring them to a wider audience”.
I always have at least one single oil blend in the house, but usually it is several, that is because they are more versatile than facial oils with essential oils, especially for those with sensitive skins. Although these all say face oil on the bottle, they are great used in a variety of ways, added to clay masks, as a boost for a body lotion or butter, on hair and mixed with a water based serum or alone as an evening treatment. There are currently four oils in the range:
Ooh! Oils of Heaven Organic Argan oil – (£19 for 30 mls) Is a well used plant oil in the natural beauty world, with good reason because it is lovely on the skin and multi-purpose. I use this one on face, hair and body and because you only need a few drops, the bottle lasts a long time. Unlike some Argan oils that have a really strong unpleasant scent, this one is light and barely noticeable. It has a medium texture for an oil but is well absorbed by the skin. Rich in Vitamin E and fatty acids.
Ooh! Oils of Heaven Organic Rosehip oil – (£19 for 30 mls) Rosehip is another well loved oil, rich in vitamins C, K and A it is the perfect first anti-ageing treatment for anyone. This oil has a gorgeous light texture, almost a dry oil in feel and works well alone or mixed with a serum or moisturiser.
Ooh! Oils of Heaven Organic Moringa – (£19 for 30 mls) I have tried another brand of Moringa oil previously and found I thick and hard to use, this however is completely different and has a beautiful silky feel. Moringa is an oil I think we don’t hear enough about because it can be used in a variety of ways and feels lovely to use. I have used a few drops to cleanse the skin and remove make up and it mixes beautifully in a face mask too.
Ooh! Oils of Heaven Cacay oil – (£39 for 30 mls) Is an oil I have never tried before and is the a new ingredient popping up on the Green beauty scene. Cacay oil is derived from an Amazonian nut and it’s properties certainly make for interesting reading, it has three times more natural Vitamin A than Rosehip and 50% more vitamin E than Argan oil. This is oil is slightly pricier than the others in the range but the results you get are fantastic. I only needed two or three drops of this whereas most face oils I would use more like double the amount. It plumps the skin beautifully and thanks to the fact that it has no added essential oils is blends really well with other products in your routine. I would highly recommend this one to anyone searching for an anti-ageing oil but that struggles with more complex blends, it certainly is THE oil to watch, I think we will see lot’s more brands using this great ingredient very soon. It left my skin baby soft.
Ooh! Oils of Heaven strive to use small suppliers and support them fairly. You can find the full range of Ooh! Oils of Heaven at Love Lula and they usually have a great offer on, currently you get a free Argan oil when you purchase the Moringa oil (but there is usually a great gift with purchase at Love Lula so check when you buy!) which makes them even better value.
