Organic skincare for babies with Nom Nom

When it comes to products for my babies I look for purity above all else. Babies have such delicate skin in the first few months, I keep it really simple with a select few trust worthy brands. I discovered Nom Nom a few years ago and I loved the brand because it caters for mums and babies, taking you from pregnancy to those amazing first few months with safe products you can rely on. Having said that Nom Nom is a gorgeous brand for anyone with sensitive or dry skin, you don’t have to be pregnant or have a baby to enjoy it. The products are certified organic by COSMOS and the Soil Association and the majority of the products (with the exception of the perineum balm) are vegan.

Baby oil with Starflower (£16 for 100 mls) A good quality baby oil is a fantastic product to have in your arsenal, personally I find an oil to be better for tackling any dry skin but also for baby massage. I find baby massage to be a wonderful bonding experience for both me and baby, the baby range is free from essential oils and so works brilliantly here. If your baby suffers from cradle cap you can also use this oil to treat it, I do love a multi-use product. This is a simple blend of four ingredients, sunflower, coconut, starflower and vitamin E, it feels nourishing but not heavy and babies skin and leaves it really wonderfully soft.

Baby butter with calendula and evening primrose (£13 for 60 mls) If I had to describe this product in one word it would be “delicious”. It smells delicious, as does the baby once it’s been applied, it feels lovely on the skin, it works perfectly to calm and soothe thanks to the calendula in the ingredients. As both products are completely free from water, fillers or fragrance and have short ingredients lists there is less likelihood of any reaction from baby but to be honest I love this so much I would be tempted to steal it for myself! It works brilliantly and lasts a really long time, even with Mr Green using it “generously”.

Nom Nom is a great brand, with brilliant ethics, ingredients lists and I love that it is formulated specifically for mums and babies as it is such a special time. I can actually see myself using this brand for years to come as it’s just wonderful. Also in the photo is the Sophie La Girafe teether and Aden and Anais large swaddle blanket two of my favourite things at the moment. The swaddle blankets are fantastic as a breastfeeding cover or a make shift change mat and the teether is a nice safe alternative to plastic teething toys on the market. What baby products are on your essentials list?
