If you have been reading this blog for a while, you will know I have long been a fan of natural beauty boxes. They are a fun way to discover new products and expand your beauty horizons. When it comes to beauty boxes with a natural focus, there are a small handful on the market that fit the bill and today I am bringing you a review of the July Natural Beauty box which had a theme of Queen of the Nile, which was perfect for summer.
Natural beauty box offers it’s customers a monthly selection of natural, cruelty free and vegan beauty products all centred around a monthly theme that changes each month. I reviewed the February Kissed by the Ocean box and it was a lovely selection. The July box also featured some great products that I really enjoyed using over the summer months. Let’s take a look at the contents:
Konjac Sponge company Green French clay pore refiner – I have been a fan of Konjac sponges for some time and this mini sponge is a fabulous little product. Konjac sponges are made from the root of the Konjac plant, a type of root vegetable and are completely biodegradable, in fact I pop mine straight in the compost bin when I have finished with it. The smaller sponge is great for a quick morning cleanse and can be used by itself or with a cleanser.
Evolve Tropical Blossom body butter – I love the little trial/travel sizes by Evolve as they are such a good way of trying the products or perfect for travelling. This Tropical blossom body butter is a product I already use and love, perfectly nourishing and with a gorgeous texture and tropical scent this is one of my all time favourite body products. Shea butter and Tahitian Monoi make this a real treat for the body.
Tose Apothecary Argan oil – A classic one ingredient product from Tose Apothecary, a brand I have tried several products from now and consistently been impressed. I use argan oil to moisturise head to toe and as a leave in treatment for my hair. I like a product with several uses and even though Argan oil is no longer a novelty as it is well established, I appreciate a quality oil as they always get such a lot of use.
Oh So Natural sunny scrub – I am not sure if this was an exclusive product for the box or if it was a limited edition, but either way I can’t find this to buy on the Oh So Natural site anymore which I am really sad about. This is a new to me brand and I like discovering products that I wouldn’t normally have purchased via beauty boxes as I think that is part of the fun. The texture and scent of this scrub is divine, it uses fine Himalayan salts and mixture of orange oil and lavender. It leaves the skin perfectly smooth and soft as well as smelling heavenly! Love this product.
Fairypants mineral eyeshadow in the shade Cleopatra – A loose mineral eyeshadow that is vegan and cruelty free. The shadow has a good level of pigmentation and applies nicely, but being completely honest it isn’t a shade that I would normally use. Having said that I found the gold blended nicely with other colours so it actually got more use than I thought it would. A nice one for anyone looking for budget friendly vegan pigments.
This box is sold out now, but if you follow Natural beauty box on social media you can see the spoilers for the October box with it’s Halloween theme, which has a whopping £99 value. You can choose a rolling subscription or purchase the boxes as a one off and you can find all the details of how much the boxes cost at www.thenaturalbeautybox.co.uk.
