The last beauty box review for the year and this time it is all about cruelty free subscription service Little Known box. The aims showcasing new, emerging and Indie brands including those that are natural, organic and with free-from credentials. Little Known Box also launched their first vegan edition in October too.
You will receive five to six products each month and they will be full or trial sizes. You can subscribe for 3-6-12 months or they also sell previous and one off boxes in their online boutique. I was sent the October “Super Natural” box to review and here is what was included:
The Konjac Sponge co Pink French clay sponge – I have written about my love for these sponges many times now. Perfect for a gentle daily exfoliation, they can be used with a cleanser or on their own for the most sensitive skins. They are made from the roots of the Konjac plant and are completely biodegradable, I just pop mine on the compost heap when I am finished with them, they last around three months. This is the Pink French clay version which is gentle for irritated skin.
Kitenest Lip balm – This is a new to me brand and I received the orange flavour and it smells delicious. It is a love lip balm, a nice texture and very softening.
Argan oil from Simply Argan – Another product I have been talking about for a long time, Argan oil is a wonderful plant oil that can be used on face, body and hair. This little is a great size for travelling and I love the pump container.
Urban Veda soothing Body scrub – I tested this product as part of the Green Parent magazine awards where it won a gold award and it is lovely and gentle. It smells really beautiful, sandalwood and lavender and peppermint are a few of the essential oils. Importantly this scrub is microbead free, so won’t pollute the oceans.
PHB Ethical beauty lip pencil – I really like PHB products, they have some really nice everyday staples and the price point is always good. I received a peach lip pencil which has a pretty colour for Autumn or spring.
A nice box for anyone looking for cruelty free options. When you buy this product as a one off you can make a choice depending on your skin type, so there is some variation in the products in the boxes. Have you tried Little Known box? What did you think?
