It’s so easy to neglect your feet. Every year, sandal weather comes along and I dig out the emergency foot cream, trying to fix months of being uncared for. So in an attempt to maintain my feet I have been using this Virgin Olive oil heel and foot cream by Dr Organic. Dr Organic is a widely available brand that is stocked in Holland and Barrett in the UK. Over the years it has been one of my go to brands when I have needed to grab a replenishment of something in a hurry.
I have been testing a whole host of products from the brand in the last few months, but surprisingly this foot cream was one of the standouts. It has a lovely texture, not too thick or greasy and actually absorbs in to the skin but is also very softening, which is very important when it comes to feet. It has a very light fresh scent, which works to refresh as well as nourish. This is a great daily foot cream, I still sometimes use a more intensive treatment once a week, but it really does work well to keep feet soft and supple.
Containing aloe vera which is soothing and cooling, glycerine which binds moisture to the skin and olive oil which is intensely moisturising this is a nice, effective option that won’t break the bank. I am always happy to find affordable basics and it’s always nice to find products which over perform for their price point.
Dr Organic despite the name, don’t have a third party organic certification, but given the price point of the products and their position in the market this isn’t really something that concerns me. The brand has a wide selection covering hair, body and skincare, so plenty to explore. The Dr Organic Virgin Olive oil heel and foot cream* comes in at a reasonable £6.75 and is available at Holland and Barrett stores nationwide.
