With all this cold weather I have been testing lot’s of products to help dry skin naturally. If like me your skin has been ravaged by the cold and you have been left with dry flaky patches, Green People came to my rescue with two of their body care products specifically designed for dry skin. Green People are a UK brand that were one of the pioneers of natural and organic beauty. They are also one of my favourite brands, because the quality of their products is so consistently high. They have an excellent ingredients policy and a wide range of skincare, make up and body care, so something for everyone.
Green People sugar scrub – This is a really rich scrub, perfect for very dry skin. With organic cane sugar, Shea butter, coconut oil, pomegranate seed oil calendula and avocado. Made with 95% organic ingredients and no plastic microbeads to harm the environment this scrub really tackles dry skin, thanks to the sugar and shea butter. The shea does leave some residue behind, which makes it great for moisturising the skin, but if you prefer a scrub that rinses clean, then this one might not be for you.
Green People body butter – This is a product I have used before and loved. In fact I used it whilst I was pregnant with Baby Green and it is deeply moisturising, perfect for tackling those areas that need a little more TLC. The body butter contains a blend of oils such as palm oil (Green People use sustainable palm oil and do pay attention to their sourcing), sunflower oil, hemp oil, pomegranate and rosehip. It is completely free of water and fillers, so is best applied to slightly damp skin at night time. It is a brilliant blend for helping with stretch marks and dry patches. It is scented lightly with lavender and rosemary, so has a nice herbal aroma, but isn’t too strong. It is a whopping 99% organic, which is very impressive too.
I love the Green People formulas and ethics, these products contain fairly traded and certified organic ingredients as well as being cruelty free. Green People also have many vegan options, however these particular formulas contain beeswax so not suitable.
