LJ Natural Lipgloss in Rhubarb review

LJ Natural Lipgloss

I wanted to share this sweet little lip gloss by British brand LJ Natural, because so few of the UK natural brands have make up in their ranges, plus I always like to bring you artisan UK brands where possible. This lip gloss is 99% organic, made with just seven ingredients and ten percent of the profit go to Dogs Trust, so it supports a good cause too. These glosses are almost a hybrid balm and are incredibly nourishing, perfect in this cold weather!

They contain avocado oil, coconut oil, castor oil and organic beeswax as well a delicate colour and sheen that comes from mica. There are two shades; Rosie and Rhubarb. Pictured above is Rhubarb, although it looks quite pigmented in the tube, the colour doesn’t really translate in the same way to the lips, but it gives a very pretty and healthy sheen that is perfect over lipstick.

Used on its own it is lovely and moisturising for an easy everyday lip product. If you can’t stand lip-glosses that feel sticky or tacky, then you are in luck with this as it is neither of those things, it glides on the lips and feels really smooth. LJ Natural was founded by Lisa, an aromatherapist who has experience of problem skin as she suffers from eczema. The brand has a whole host of natural skincare and body care products, handmade in Cheshire and is a previous Free From Skincare awards winner. Lisa is also a therapist and offers a variety of treatments if you are in the area.

The Skincare and bodycare products look really interesting and have a very reasonable price point, so perfect for anyone looking for products that don’t break the bank. The lipglosses cost £9.95 for 10 ml and you can find them here.

Have you tried LJ Naturals? What did you think?
