The English Mineral make up Company Ethereal body glow and Kabuki review

English Mineral make up Ethereal body glow

English Mineral make up are a brand that have been on my list to try for some time now, as a fan of mineral make up and someone who loves to use British brands where possible, it seemed like a perfect fit. I was lucky to win an Ethereal body glow and a Kabuki brush in an Instagram competition a few months ago and I wanted to share them with you because they are beautiful and excellent quality.

The brand says on it’s FAQ page that all the products are cruelty free and they only get their raw ingredients from suppliers who are also cruelty free. The majority of the products are also vegan, with the exception of a couple of products that contain pearl powder. The brand also says that it’s mica is responsibly mined, there is a big issue in the industry with ingredients such as mica involving child and slave labour, so it is nice to see a brand thinking about their sourcing.

Ethereal Body Glow – (£24 for 5 grams) Is a shimmer powder for the body, which can be used on your hair, collar bones, anywhere you want a bit of extra glow. This is a lovely product to take on a beach holiday to wear in the evenings as it gives a really pretty shimmer effect. There are three shades to choose from; gold, bronze and silver and I have the bronze which you can see swatched below. The body glow is a nice mix of shimmer, it doesn’t contain any plastic particles and therefor is safe for the environment. The powder is lovely to use and is finely milled and not too chunky. I have fallen in love with the English Mineral Make up packaging, which is really sleek and sturdy. There is a nice mirror in the lid and it feels like it would travel well.

Pink Kabuki – (£19) I was also kindly sent the large Pink Kabuki brush to apply the Ethereal body glow. I am totally in love with this plush vegan brush, it is so soft and so dense, just perfect for using to apply bronzer or shimmer to the body. The bristles are made from taklon (vegan friendly synthetic bristles) and the handle is bamboo. Just gorgeous!

I am very impressed with the products that I have tried from the English Mineral make up company, it is lovely to see a British brand that is creating beautiful filler free makeup.
