For this months Love Lula post I decided to do something a little bit different – I have rounded up some of my favourite products that are all £20 and under. Some of these products are new to me, some are old favourites, but they all have in common that I think they offer good value for money. They are also products I either have repurchased or would do so once they have run out.
Twenty pounds and under:
Lavera Hydro effect serum (£19.90) – Finding budget friendly serums isn’t all that easy, I have found only a handful over the years that I think live up to some of the more expensive ones. I purchased the Lavera Hydro effect serum on a bit of a whim and it turned out to be a great purchase. This is a really nice hydrating serum, it isn’t tacky or sticky on the skin and it works well layered with other serums or moisturisers. It is also vegan and certified by NATRUE.
Hiro Eyebrow Pommade Medium (£19.99) – My eyebrows have been quite unruly lately, this brow pommade from Hiro is a really interesting product that adds colour and helps keep brows in place. My brows are quite dark, so if I was using this product alone it isn’t quite enough to fill my brows in, but I use it as well as a brow pencil and it gives a lovely finish to the brow without being sticky or tacky.
Ere Perez almond oil brow pencil (£17.50) – As above my usual brow products ran out, so I decided to try something new. This is lovely medium brown pencil, it has a nice ashy tone and is easy to apply. The pencil itself comes with a brush on the end so you can brush through the brows for a natural finish.
Dr Hauschka lip gloss (£16) – I love the texture of these Dr Hauschka lip glosses, non sticky, pretty colours and a moisturising finish. I have a small sample tube and have been using it daily for a few weeks, so the full size will last for quite some time.
Weleda Almond sensitive body lotion (£16.95) – A good daily body lotion for sensitive skin, I have been using the Almond range from Weleda for sensitive skin for a few years now. Recently something I have been testing didn’t agree with my skin, so I went back to this gentle lotion and it calmed my skin down and took away the itchy sensation. This lotion comes in a generous 200 ml size, so they are perfect for everyday use.
Walden See the Moonlight Perfume oil (£17) – These perfume oils from Walden are a new launch from the brand. I am already a really big fan of the Walden perfumes (See my review here) and these perfume oils are really great for carrying around in your handbag and are really easy to apply during the day.
Fifteen pounds and under:
Green People Scent free Sun Lotion (£14.50) – A nice sunscreen to the whole family. This sized bottle is perfect for taking on holidays or keeping in a change bag or hand bag. The formula is great for kids and people with sensitive skin too.
Balm Balm Little Miracle Rosehip serum (£14.50) – Face oils is another category similar to serums where it can be hard to find one that performs well but is also budget friendly. I have been testing the Balm Balm Little Miracle serum since last month and it is a lovely product, softening on the skin, moisturising but not heavy and with a gentle scent. A brilliant price for such a nice organic face oil.
Lavera Trend natural mousse make up (£13.90) – I love this foundation, it has a beautiful mousse texture and a semi-matte medium finish on the skin. It is easy to apply, but I always make sure I apply some oil as a primer underneath and then blend with a synthetic brush. A lot of other foundations with this kind of coverage will set you back at least double this price, a real bargain.
Lavera Trend Beautiful mineral eyeshadow Quattro (£13.90) – My perfect everyday eyeshadow pallete in the shade Cappuccino cream. This quad from Lavera is talc free and it has great colours, a nice taupe, a matte cream for the brows and inner corners and a darker brown to use a liner or to add definition. If could only have one palette this would be it.
Ten pounds and under:
Balm Balm Fragrance free face balm (Currently on offer £5.95) – A nice thick fragrance free balm in a squeeze tube. I like to use this on my lips, to tame eyebrows, on cuticles and anywhere where my skin is dry. Perfect for healing a sore nose after a cold as well.
Lavera Basis Sensitive All Round Cream (£7.95) – This cream from Lavera was one of my first natural beauty buys and one I still rate really highly. It has a lovely feel, very moisturising but still easily absorbed and a light fresh scent that isn’t too overpowering. If you are trying to cut back on your plastic use, this also comes in an aluminium tub rather than plastic packaging.
Lyonsleaf Calendula and Marshmallow balm (£8.99) – An intensive balm is a must in my skincare routine. This one from Lyonsleaf is really gentle and great for irritated skin. You only need a really small amount, so a small pot should last a long time.
Weleda Citrus Deodorant (£9.75) – I like the spray deodorants from Weleda a lot, very easy to reapply on the go and you get a really generous amount of product. The citrus scent in particular is really fresh and I apply as a body spray a well as a deodorant. I also use this as a light sanitiser for hands.
Benecos Impact blush in Sassy Salmon (£5.95) – I am so impressed with this bright coral blush from Benecos. It applies nicely without too much fallout and the colour stays put a long time on the cheeks. I will be stocking up on more colours because I think they are just brilliant. Some less expensive make up options can be a bit chalky, but I don’t find that to be the case with this blush.
Benecos Bronzing duo Ibiza Nights (£6.95) – Another impressive Benecos product, this is a really nice bronzer for summer, this shade looks best on medium skin tones, it is my favourite when I am using some fake tan, because it does have quite a lot of pigment. The Benecos packaging is really sturdy and great for travel. I wish this brand would also offer plastic free refills or reusable packaging.
Alteya organics Rosewater Spray (£7.20) – This was a another item that I have received recently in a Love Lula box and I am very impressed with this gorgeous rosewater. It is organic and smells absolutely incredible. I use it as a hydrating spritz before face oils and serums, to mix with my powder masks and as a refreshing spritz throughout the day.
I hope you enjoyed this post. Have you got any great value buys from Love Lula you think I should try?
