Ancienne Ambiance – Luxury beauty inspired by Antiquity

Ancienne Ambiance

If you are looking for a beautiful gift that is a little bit different this year, then London based boutique Ancienne Ambiance is a wonderful option. The brand has a wide selection of products inspired by Antiquity, from home fragrance to body oils there is something for every taste. The beautiful formulas and distinctive branding is perfect for a pampering treat. I tested the range a few years ago now, but this is my updated review of one of my favourite products and some that are new to me.

Goddess Argan Beauty oil (£40 for 100 ml) – This is a multi-purpose beauty oil that is delicate, silky and nourishing. The kind of pampering product you want to cocoon yourself in after a warm bath. The scent is a sweet vanilla, very classic and the light weight feel is perfect for use all year round. It sinks in to the skin instantly and leaves a soft veil of scent behind. Oils such as argan and almond leave the skin moisturised and smooth.

Mini Colonia Gift set (£60 – 5×15 ml) – This is such a sweet gift for any fragrance lover with this handy, portable roller balls in five different scents. I found these to be unisex too, so have passed some of them on to Mr Green to use as he is always on the lookout for new fragrances. This is a limited edition set for Christmas, so be sure to grab one before they are gone. The set includes five very different fragrances.

Colonia IV EDT – Is a beautiful fresh fragrance with lemon, orange, tangerine, bergamot and a hint of lavender and neroli. It has a real classic feel and the lavender and neroli give depth to the citrus notes, making it suitable for wearing day or night.

Colonia VI EDT – Is my favourite of the five as it has a beautiful fruity but well rounded scent including orange, lemon, blackcurrant and geranium. This is a wonderful day time fragrance.

Colonia VII EDT – Has notes of grapefruit, tangerine, blood orange and musky notes. This is a really wonderful scent for spring and summer.

Colonia VIII EDP – The EDP versions have a stronger intensity, suitable for evenings. I gave these to Mr Green to test as I prefer lighter scents. This scent has woody sandalwood mixed with green notes.

Colonia IX EDP – Is an exotic blend of Sandalwood, cedar and patchouli. I loved the depth and warmth of this scent.

A really beautiful set and interesting brand. If you are in London I recommend visiting the Anicenne Ambiance Chelsea boutique to experience the products in person. They are frequent winners in the beauty awards including the Beauty Shortlist awards.
