How it all started…

It all started when I got pregnant with my first son. I had been a beauty junkie all my life but being pregnant made me take notice of what was in the products I loved so much and start to make changes. Having suffered from sensitised and dry skin, I soon found that changing the way I took care of myself madeĀ a big difference to my skin and wellbeing.

I started to shop on line at natural and organic shops and my local health food shop, but I soon got frustrated by the lack of information and swatches available for natural, organic and mineral make up and skincare. I decided to start my own blog to share my experiences and opinions of products and soon found a community of likeminded people to learn from and be inspired by.

Over the years my love of beauty hasn’t faded, but I have also tried to make small steps to make our home as green as possible without sacrificing our lifestyle. I switched to simple homemade cleaning products, castile soap and other simple remedies around the house. We use cloth nappies and other reusable options where possible and when we shop new we love to support eco friendly and ethical businesses. I firmly believe that small changes can over time make a big difference.

We are currently exploring more ways to simplify our lives, cut down on waste and live well whilst trying to minimise our impact. I hope you enjoy reading about our journey and it inspires you to join us on your own path.

There is over five years of blog posts on the site for you to explore. Happy reading!
